CONNECT: In our worship service. Psalm 22:22
To help people connect deeply to God, we offer worship services with engaging music and biblical preaching. During all worship services, we have worship venues for adults, youth, and kids.
As we seek to CONNECT people to God, we believe that our worship services for all age groups are the best environment to place people for God to bring about transformation. We recognize that God is the one who does the transformation, but we want to place and lead people in a worship service that best allows God to work in their lives. We desire to offer the best environment for those God brings us. As we prepare for the worship service, we plan and evaluate through the following frame work (FOCUS).
FOCUS in Connecting
F – Fitting (relevant to real life)
Are the facilities attractive and well designed?
Is the selection of songs relevant to the group (age and culture)?
Is the content presented in a relevant way (culturally and developementally)?
O – Outstanding (being the best in details)
Are we rehearsing and walking through all elements of the entire experience?
Are the facilities clean and clutter free?
Are volunteers well equipped?
Are all guest areas easy to navigate and find?
What do children and families see, hear, and smell as they enter the each area?
C – Creative (newness with a wow factor)
Is the presentation creative and unpredictable?
Do all media outlets (monitors, video, lighting, background images) represent a creative God?
Is there a different element or new twist in every worship service from week to week?
U – Unifying (full participation for all)
Does the music and message encourage people to participate?
Are we prepared to offer 4 touches to our first time guest?
Are the facilities comfortable to invite participation?
Are there a variety of relational and diverse volunteers in place?
Are children and their parents feeling safe physically and emotionally?
S – Seamless (the flow of progress)
Is the property safe and secure (seamless communication)?
Is the traffic flow on and off campus seamless?
Is there a seamless flow from the parking lot to the pew?
Are service transitions seamless?
Is there appropriate signage?
Is information for the day easily accessed (bulletins, connect cards, hand outs)?
Are handoffs to Growth Groups easy, obvious, and relational?
