Children's Church COVID-19 Health and Safety Procedures
We are excited to begin phasing Children’s Ministry back into the Lighthouse Sunday morning services July 19th! For parents who are ready to bring their children back to church, the 9:00AM service will be including Children’s Church and Nursery. This will help to reduce our 10:30AM service occupancy and reserve that second service for our at-risk attendees. We would like to encourage families to bring their children to this first service by providing the following safety precautions to minimize the spread of illness:
Encouraging social distancing
Providing optional face masks for children Pre-K and up
Implementing that volunteers wear face coverings
Implementing that nursery volunteers wear shoe covers and aprons
Equipping the nursery with a shoe shelf where volunteers will store infants and toddlers shoes during the service
Cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces and toys before and after service
Providing hand sanitizer at check-in/check-out and in the classrooms
Scheduling a time during the service when children wash their hands
Limiting face touching by not providing snacks
Limiting Children’s Church and Nursery areas to children and volunteers only
Providing a safe check-in/check-out experience (see below for more details)
All children attending Lighthouse Kids Children's Church or Nursery will check-in at the Nursery Check-in Counter. Parents/Guardians will form a line down the hallway across from the Nursery (past the Welcome Center) 6 feet apart to check-in their children. Signs will be posted. You will receive a check-out tag and name tag for your child. After checking in, nursery aged children will be taken to their class by a volunteer and Pre-K (potty-trained) to 5th grade will be dropped off with a teacher at the top of the stairs going down to the Children’s Church area who will help assist them with finding their classrooms.
Two lines will be provided for check-out. If picking up a child from Nursery, line up along the back wall of the central foyer (under the "Nursery" sign). If picking up a child from Children's Church, line-up in the same hall used for check-in facing the door to the Children’s Church area. Present your check-out tag and a volunteer will be available to assist you. To help reduce congestion in the south foyer (foyer right outside of the Auditorium) and reserve our south entrance for second service attendees, please exit toward the north foyer (foyer that leads to the adult classrooms).
